Paying rent

• Rent by bank: free for renters. Holuway's service fee is 0.75% of each payment, at least $3 and at most $15, taken from the landlord's payment.
• Rent by card: a card processing fee of 3.5% is added to what the renter pays. The landlord receives the full rent.

Applying for a home

When a landlord charges an application fee and Holuway collects it, a $3 card processing fee is added to the landlord's fee, paid by the renter.

Always shown before you pay

These are Holuway's standard fees. An organization's fees can differ by arrangement, and the fees that apply are always shown before anyone pays: renters see them on the payment screen, and landlords see theirs on Payouts.

Plans for landlords

• Free: unlimited listings, inquiries, applications and tour requests, with one team member.
• Landlord Pro: $29 a month for up to 10 units, then $2 per unit a month. Adds online rent collection, the rent ledger, late-fee automation, lease management and maintenance.
• Property Manager: $99 a month for up to 50 units, then $1.50 per unit a month. Everything in Landlord Pro, with a larger team.

A plan counts the units with a current or upcoming lease. Vacant listings are not counted.
