Request a repair
Tell the people who manage your home what needs fixing, add photos, and follow the repair until it is done.
Updated October 11, 2026
If anyone is in danger, or you smell gas, leave and call 911 first. Sending a request does not send anyone right away.
You can request repairs once your lease is active.
Ask for a repair
- 1Open Maintenance, or Repairs in your resident portal, and select Request a repair.
- 2Under What needs fixing?, choose a category, then describe the problem: where it is, what happens and since when.
- 3Tick This cannot wait a few days if it is urgent.
- 4Say whether someone may come in if you are not home, whether there are pets, and add access notes if they help.
- 5Add photos if you like: up to 8 now, and more later. Location data is removed from photos.
- 6Select Send request.
For emergencies such as a water leak, no heat, a gas smell or being locked out, the form shows your home's emergency line when your property has one.
Follow it
Each request shows where it stands, from New through Visit scheduled and Being fixed to Closed. If it says Needs your answer, the people who manage your home have a question; answer on the request.
You can write to them on the request, add photos, or select Cancel request if it is no longer needed. If a closed repair is not fixed, select It is not fixed soon after it closes and say what is still wrong.
We email you as the repair moves along. You can turn off Repair updates in your email settings; emails about emergency repairs always reach you.
