Turn on autopay

Autopay charges your bank account or card on each due date, up to a limit you choose, and you can turn it off at any time.

Turn it on

  1. Step 1Open Pay rent in your resident portal, or your lease in My home, and under Autopay select Set up autopay.
  2. Step 2Under Pay with, choose Bank account or Debit or credit card.
  3. Step 3If you like, fill in Most to charge at a time, in dollars (optional). Leave it empty to pay whatever is due.
  4. Step 4Read the authorization, tick I agree and select Continue.
  5. Step 5Enter your bank or card details on the secure form and select Save and turn on autopay. You see Autopay is on.

With a bank account, you connect your bank securely. If your bank sends small deposits to verify the account, finish that first; autopay turns on once the account is saved.

How autopay charges

  • It pays what is due on each due date, in your property's time zone, starting with charges due on or after the day you turn it on.
  • It never charges more than your limit. When your rent is above it, the page tells you how much you pay yourself.
  • It does not charge while an earlier payment is still on its way from your bank.
  • We email you a receipt. If a charge fails, we email you and try once more three days later; after that, pay it yourself from Pay rent.

The Autopay panel shows the method you saved, such as a card ending in its last four digits, and the next charge.

Change or turn off

Select Change method to save a different bank account or card; it replaces the one you had.

Select Turn off autopay, then Turn off autopay again to confirm. Nothing is charged automatically from then on, and you can pay from the same page or turn autopay on again.
